Sonja Jüschke

Sonja Jüschke studied Musicology and German language and literature studies in Koblenz. After graduating in 2012 with a Magister thesis about Thomas Weelkes’ Madrigals of Five and Six Parts (1600), she started working on a dissertation project concerning chorus numbers in late 19th century British comic operas. Since 2017, she is a research assistant at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. She has recently finished and defended her dissertation “How to Begin? Operatic Introduction in Late Victorian Popular Musical Theatre”.
Sonja Jüschke ha studiato Musicologia e Lingua e Letteratura tedesca a Coblenza. Dopo essersi laureata nel 2012 con una tesi magistrale sui Madrigali a cinque e sei parti di Thomas Weelkes (1600), ha iniziato a lavorare su un progetto di tesi riguardante i cori nelle opere comiche inglesi di fine Ottocento. Dal 2017 è ricercatrice alla Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Ha recentemente terminato e difeso la sua tesi “How to Begin? Operatic Introduction in Late Victorian Popular Musical Theatre”.
