Theater in Bologna in the Jacobin period

Using examples taken from literary texts, the author analyzes some of the theater pieces performed in Bologna during the Jacobin period, with particular attention to the work of Francesco Saverio Salfi and Luigi Giorgi and to the relationship of the Bolognese ambience to the tradition of the French Revolution, from Marie-Joseph Chénier to Louis Laya.
